This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the BriefKey Services.
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
“Personal Information” is information you provide to us that personally identifies you, such as your name, address, email address, phone number, mobile carrier information, comments/questions or other data, which can be reasonably linked to such information by us. The BriefKey Services do not require users to register or provide any Personal Information to function. We do not collect any Personal Information from users unless that user expressly and intentionally provides it.
The BriefKey Services may collect certain Aggregate Non-Personal Information. “Aggregate Non-Personal Information” is information that is recorded about users and collected into groups so that it no longer reflects or references an individually identifiable user. Aggregate Non-Personal Information includes search terms submitted by users, which we may use to identify trending and popular searches and features, as well as automatically collected information including mobile operating systems and Internet browsers used, which we may use to improve functionality and features.
Do you collect or store information typed using the Application keyboard?
No. We respect your privacy and do not read, collect or store what you type. What you type on your device in other applications is none of our business. We can only receive search terms that you type in our keyboard search bars to return search results you request. You can still use our keyboard to type without access to the Internet or any external connection. You can save favorite content on your device, but you will need the Internet to access the millions of GIFs, Stickers, and other content available through our search functions. For your security and peace of mind, whenever you enter passwords or sensitive information, like credit card numbers, in secure fields, the Apple system keyboard will automatically appear for you to use. Our keyboard will then automatically reappear when you select a non-confidential field. If our keyboard does not reappear automatically, you can tap the globe key on the Apple keyboard to change back. And you can always tap the globe key on our keyboard to use the Apple keyboard as you wish.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the BriefKey Services?
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to operate or improve the BriefKey Services. We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement. We never sell information you provide or we collect. We do use certain third-party databases to acquire content we provide in the Application. In particular, we may direct searched terms to third parties including Giphy, Imoji, and Bing (and those services you request us to search using our applications) in an effort to make sure users have as much content as possible. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third parties and contact us if you have any concerns.
We may disclose user provided and automatically collected Information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
- when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- with our trusted services providers who work on our behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
